Briscola's Restuarant Artwork 

Thanks to you all visiting my website after seeing the painting at BRISCOLA. I'm currently studying for a degree in contemporary art and the brief this year is "Local Issues". As i consider myself nearly a Bollingtonian(I've only lived here for 20 years so not a full one yet!) i wanted to concentrate on Bolly issues of which i feel strongly, and which also reflect throughout the country. I believe we would all benefit from a more nostalgic, even old-fashioned attitude within our locality, to support local business, eat locally grown food, grow our own?, think less of frantic gathering of materialistic nonsense,new cars, clothes, number plates, handbags... a bit more about cooking dinner with our children, not feeding them rubbish, eating with them, growing with them?? 

My painting tries to reflect that ethos, Bollington without buildings, commerce, development, human destruction.
